What provision at this level looks like and feels like

Policy

There is a policy stating the organisation’s commitment to creating an inclusive workplace (see 1.3).

Senior decision-makers

There is not a great deal of discussion amongst senior decision makers of the issues associated with creating an inclusive workplace at base level. There is a commitment and drive for action that comes from one or two senior decision-makers. The drive tends to come from the need to meet legal requirements or from workforce needs and interests. Whatever the initial source, it is enough to bring the issue to the attention of senior decision-makers.

All staff

All staff are made aware of their legal responsibilities in relation to workplace equality.

Description of Commitment

Karen Carlton (OCPAS) – 29 March 2010 18.29

Hi everyone. having gone through the EO material again (prompted by Peter’s weekly report) I have an observation. The definition of Commitment is quite a long sentence and I wonder if it would be even clearer wiht the adition of a word –

.....with improved opportunities for everyone and UNDERSTANDS their role and responsibilities .......
